In The Can!!!!

A year on (after I wrote it) and my film is finally in the can and awaiting editing... YAY!

The cost? Three trips for me to Boston USA (I only paid for one) and lots of favours.

7 Hours of DV tape that we have to edit down to 20 mins... hmmmmm. Thats what happens when you shoot with 5 cameras simultaneously I guess.

I am told that the rushes looks amazing and that I should have a rough-cut in a month.

The music is being done by none other than..... Cornershop (yes.. as in Brimfull of Asha (I await chuckles)).

Hey, cornershop are great. I have good memories of driving down th A46 into Bath, listening to their (only?) hit album a few years ago.

The final film will be a stepping stone to show the studio's/prod co's capabilities and will be submitted to all the main festivals we can think of. The edit will be done in time for Cannes submission but I'm personally not holding my breath....
... the story was about a guy trying to commit suicide as a result of being the victim of domestic violence from his wife. Great fight scenes, comedy elements and surreal ending.

... next in line is the production of the feature films "Gender Bender" (about male and female transsexuals falling in love!) and "Multiple Me" a comedy feature about a lawyer with multi-personality disorder. Both films I am cowriter on. Multiple me was written in two weeks by myself and producer Paul Wagner in August this year and a studio in New Mexico is already interested (again, no breaths held).

As for Cornershop... they have released a number of albums under the band name "Clinton"... mainly dancy clubby stuff but Cornershop are releasing an album and touring this year... I am so reliably told by my chum Tony Saffery (Keyboardist, guitarist).

In the meantime I am reshooting the short film "In The Jeans".
Altho it went to Raindance and York fests I was pretty unhappy with the result and think I can personally do better (well better than the director anyways).
